Did you miss Monday Night Raw or Smackdown Live this week? Don’t worry here are the top five things WWE fans are talking about, in case you didn’t watch live.
5. Kurt Angle’s Announcement
Monday Night RAW was live from Pittsburgh, PA, Kurt Angle’s hometown. The fans gave Angle a tremendous ovation as he came to the ring for his announcement. Angle announced that after 20 years in the wrestling business, he was going to have one last farewell match at WrestleMania. Angle then defeated Apollo Crews in a quick match. The question remains though, who will Angle face at WrestleMania?
4. The Evolution Face To Face
Two weeks ago, Batista made his surprise return to WWE by attacking The Nature Boy Ric Flair during his 70th Birthday Celebration as a way to get Triple H’s attention. The following week, Triple H proclaimed that Batista crossed the line and made this issue personal. Last Monday, Triple H came to the ring waiting for Batista. Batista would only face his former Evolution leader from the stage behind several security guards who Triple H made fun of calling them The Guardians of The Indy Scene Galaxy. Batista threatened Triple H saying if he didn’t give him what he wanted he would hurt more people Hunter loved. After denying Batista several times, Triple H finally agreed to face Batista in a No Holds Barred Match at WrestleMania. Batista promised to end both men’s career on his terms. Will he succeed?
3. Will Ronda Go Rouge?
Last Sunday at Fastlane, RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey interfered in the Charlotte Flair Becky Lynch match causing Flair to be disqualified and Lynch to be added to the RAW Women’s Title Match at WrestleMania making it a Triple Threat Match. The following night on RAW, Rousey explained her actions saying she wanted to expose both Lynch and Flair as the con artist carnies the entire wrestling business is. Ronda Rousey has shown great disrespect for the entire wrestling business on social media the last few weeks. This makes some fans wonder if Rousey would go into business for herself and make her Triple Threat Match against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania legitimate by not following the plans for the match.
2. Has Vince McMahon Ended KofiMania?
At WWE Fastlane, Vince McMahon told The New Day that the WWE Championship Match would be a Triple Threat Match. Kofi Kingston came to the ring assuming he would be involved in the match only to be informed he would instead be in a Handicapped Match against Sheamus & Cesaro, The Bar. Last Tuesday on Smackdown Live, Vince McMahon came to the ring saying that he never said that Kofi Kingston was going to be involved in The Triple Threat Match at Fastlane. The New Day came to the ring and demanded that Kofi Kingston be given a WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania. Vince claimed that if Kofi deserved a WWE Championship he would have received one a long time ago. Kofi finally broke his silenced and said he wasn’t going to complain about his sacrifices he just wanted to know what he had to do to prove to Vince that he deserves WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania. Vince McMahon finally announced that Kofi had to defeat Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Sheamus, Cesaro, and Rowan in a Gauntlet Match next week on Smackdown Live. Has Vince put Kofi in a no win situation? Will Kofi realize his dream and earn a WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania?
1. Drew McIntyre Breaks The Shield?
Roman Reigns wanted to wrestle his first singles match on RAW since he returned to the company last Monday, and he was scheduled to take on Baron Corbin who made several insensitive comments regarding Reigns’ battle with Leukemia. As Roman came to the ring, he was attacked by Drew McIntyre who kicked Reigns’ head into the ring post. Reigns’ Shield partners Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins helped Reigns to the trainer’s room to be checked out. Ambrose then demanded a match with Drew McIntrye which Triple H granted him. McIntrye would defeat Ambrose in a brutal match kicking him in the head several times while Ambrose’s head was impaled in a railing. As of now, the condition of Reigns and Ambrose is unknown, but Drew McIntrye ended Monday Night RAW with a major statement just less than for weeks away from WrestleMania
