The report we have all been waiting for has finally reached its conclusion. I’m sure no one is more upset than the Trump haters of the country, and no one is happier than the pro-Trumpers once they heard the news from Attorney General William Barr that “special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation did not find sufficient evidence that President Donald Trump obstructed justice, or that the president’s campaign coordinated with Russian efforts to influence the 2016 election” (CNBC).
Let us not forget that the Trump-Russia investigation started because of a fake dossier created by retired British spy Christopher Steele. “CNN did not publish the dossier, because of its unverified status, but BuzzFeed soon posted all the memos online ‘so that Americans can make up their own minds'” (CNN). Let’s get one thing straight here. You should know that if a news outlet like CNN declines to publish an unverified dossier, there is an incredibly high chance that it is fake. Also, how does it make any sense that “Americans can make up their own minds” about something that carried absolutely zero weight to begin with? This is why, among countless other reasons, much of the American public (mostly Republicans) doesn’t trust the mainstream media (Washington Times).
Getting back to the breaking news, “Barr said that he and his deputy, Rod Rosenstein, concluded that the evidence Mueller gathered ‘is not sufficient to establish that the president committed an obstruction of justice offense’ (USA Today).
Per Politico, “The Special Counsel states that ‘while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him'” (Politico). Wait a second. What does that mean? I thought if someone was found not guilty of a crime it meant that they are also exonerated. “Definition of exonerate…to clear from accusation or blame” (Merriam-Webster). To me, this wording and statement really seem like a final attempt at a slap in the face to President Trump.
Here’s the moral of the story: Robert Mueller and the special council found zero evidence of the Trump-Russia collusion many butt-hurt Americans were looking for. There are millions of people who were stunned by the results of the 2016 election and simply could not/still cannot live with the fact that Trump won. This was the biggest item over the last couple years that Trump haters were banking on to get him removed from office and to find a reason why he won the election (they could not believe he won fairly). We saw how tons of distraught Leftists reacted when Trump won the election, so I can only imagine how many of those same people are reacting now. My guess is that there are plenty of tears and curse words being uttered at this very moment.
Although this case is pretty much closed and it was found that President Trump did not collude with Russia regarding the 2016 Presidential election, I still fear that new accusations will arise in order to bring President Trump down. Unfortunately, the mainstream media still produce baseless accusations and produce stories without enough factual information (i.e. Covington Catholic High School, Jussie Smollett). This will continue, but hopefully not at the expense of the American taxpayers.
